Livio Minafra: piano and music
Mimma Di Vittorio: new butoh dance and coreography
Despite having solid academic studies, Livio Minafra and Mimma Di Vittorio, developed a language that cannot be ascribed to jazz or contemporary dance.
«That of Minafra is a music of exchange and contamination, rich in oriental echoes, of minimalistic contents, with ethnic references. You can define it as jazz but it is a limitative definition. Of course the improvisation, the instantaneousness are the supporting beams» says the journalist Amedeo Furfaro.
On the other side, Faraualla say about Di Vittorio “To overcome the “beautiful and cursed” to say the new and the necessary, asking for a possible future, a silvery sea with a thousand routes”.
The result composes a new narrative in which the notes dance and the dance plays in a complicity that starts from everyday life and then mineralizes on stage.
